Earth Day 2022: The Festival is a new venture in Springfield, marking the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day itself. While commemorations of the event have been going for many years in downtown Springfield, 2022 will be a very special celebration. We are giving the gift of music and sustainability education to our community, in the hopes that the community will give back to some of our most important local environmental organizations.
Earth Day 2022: The Festival will be a one-day, ticketed, plastic-free, leave-no-trace, music and sustainability-awareness festival that will feature many prominent local and regional bands throughout the day, all on the beautiful and spacious grounds of Mother’s Brewing Company Backyard. Our goal is to donate 100% of the ticket sales to the Watershed Committee, James River Basin Partnership, and Ozark Greenways.
Our mission is urgent. We believe that climate change is the defining issue of our time, one whose threat is increasing with each day that we do not make lasting changes. By raising money to help keep our local environment clean and sustainable, we are doing our part to keep our corner of the globe on pace with the rest of the world, as we adapt and change to new expectations. The first Earth Day was marked as the birth of the modern environmental movement; we look to the 50th anniversary as being our pledge of commitment to keep that movement strong.
We hope you’ll join us April 23rd, 2022, for what will be a memorable day of music, sustainability awareness and education, and a sense of accomplishment for making a difference in our community.
